Is waxing safe?
Yes. I have waxed many pregnant clients right the way through their pregnancy. I’d go as far to say I've mastered the challenges of pregnancy waxing.
Helping hands
Pregnancy hormones can make hair grow faster and thicker than usual, making waxing a much better option than shaving. Also, once you hit the six month mark you’ll struggle to see over your bump so its best to leave it to me.
As you progress through the trimesters, your nether regions may become darker, swollen and sensitive which is completely normal however, it will require an expert waxer using only hot wax to ensure your comfort.
When giving birth, having a hair free area it makes stitching easier if you’ve had a c-section or episiotomy. Scheduling your wax in advance before c-section and inductions rules out being shaved. Very important you are a wax devotee. And if you're worried about piles, I've seen it all before.
Extra time
If you book a wax in the last trimester of your pregnancy, please let me know so that I can book out a little extra time. I like to take extra time to make sure you and your bump are comfortable throughout the entire wax. After all, waxing is meant to be an relaxing treatment and when better do you need a pamper?
